Kings Bingo Sheerness, Broadway

Sheerness Kings Bingo Information

Kings Bingo, situated just off the seafront in Sheerness, boasts a rich history dating back to its opening in 1936 as the Argosy Cinema. Originally designed to accommodate 1,250 seats, the venue also featured a 14-foot stage and two dressing rooms, allowing it to host a variety of acts alongside its cinema showings. The cinema included a café, providing a complete entertainment experience. In the 1940s, the Argosy Cinema was taken over by Essoldo and continued to operate until its closure in 1968. Over the years, it has changed hands multiple times, including periods under the ownership of Gala and Coral. However, since the 1990s, it has been operating as an independent bingo hall, known as Kings Bingo. Today, Kings Bingo maintains its charm and continues to be a popular spot for bingo enthusiasts. The venue provides a welcoming atmosphere where players can enjoy a game of bingo in a location rich with historical significance.
