About The Opera House Casino Scarborough, Thomas Street

Set right in the centre of Scarborough, Opera House Casino is an independent situated in an old theatre. The venue was host to performances up until 1995 when it closed after over a hundred years of providing entertainment. A Grade II listed building, it was bought by the current owners in 2002, who converted it into Scarborough’s only full size casino. There’s more to it than that though as there is entertainment, and food (steaks etc) are served in the lounge. The casino can host parties and corporate events, but you will need to ring for details. Table games are; American Roulette, Blackjack, Three Card Poker, and Texas Hold’em, electronic gaming is also available. If you are a new player you can ask for assistance, as the casino is one of the few in the country with training tables.
